Are you accepting reservations for Thanksgiving and Christmas?

We would love to have you at our table! Here's what to expect for the 2026 holiday season at Poogan's Porch.Thanksgiving DayWe'll be open from 11am to 9pm, serving a special three-course prix fixe menu featuring many of your favorite Poogan's dishes alongside traditional holiday fare. Little ones age 12 and under can enjoy our kids' holiday menu for just $16 per guest. Our full holiday menu will be posted to the "Menus" page of our website in early fall. We will only be serving the prix fixe menu on Thanksgiving.Christmas EveWe'll be open for the day with our traditional menu and regular hours. Come dine with us as you normally would and enjoy a festive Southern evening. Christmas DayJust like Thanksgiving, we'll be open 11am to 9pm with a three-course prix fixe menu of beloved Poogan's dishes and holiday favorites, plus the $16 kids' holiday menu for guests 12 and under. This menu will also be posted to our "Menus" page in early fall. We will only be serving the prix fixe menu on Christmas.Making a ReservationReservations for both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day can be made through Resy or right here on our "Reservations" page. These are two of our most popular days of the year and often fill up fast, so we do require a credit card to hold your table. Your card will only be charged if you need to cancel within 48 hours of your reservation time, at a rate of $25 per guest.

Do I need to make reservations or do you accept walk-ins?

While we do welcome some walk-ins, we highly recommend reserving a spot in advance to avoid disappointment.

Can I make a reservation for a large group (9+ guests) or combine multiple reservations?

Accepted Answer

Given the cozy nature of our historic dining rooms, reservations at Poogan’s Porch are only available for parties of up to eight guests. Tables for parties of 7–8 are limited and may not be available at all times. We are unable to combine separate reservations to accommodate larger parties.

Modifications to existing reservations may not be feasible due to high demand, so be sure to double-check your party size and desired date and time before booking.

How do I change or cancel my reservations?

Accepted Answer

We understand that things can come up unexpectedly. No worries, though! We'll hold your table for 15 minutes, giving you plenty of time to round up your crew and make your way over to us. And, if you need to make any changes to your reservation, it's as easy as (pecan) pie - just use the Resy app or click the "Change or Cancel Reservation" button in your original reservation confirmation email.

We also understand that sometimes plans change. So, if you need to cancel your reservation, we kindly ask that you let us know at least 24 hours in advance. That way, we can make sure we have room for other folks who are eagerly waiting to join us.

We understand the allure of dining al fresco, especially in our lovely Southern climate. As such, we will do our utmost to cater to requests for outdoor seating or particular areas of the restaurant. However, please understand that Mother Nature and availability may impact our ability to fulfill such requests.
